Visiting Hours
Family and friends of patients in the Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse are encouraged to visit regardless of the time of day, when appropriate. However, since the rehabilitation care for each patient is individually customized based on need, visitation hours may be limited when necessary. For example, patients who suffer from certain brain injuries need to restrict daily distractions to aid in the recovery process.
The physicians and staff of Good Shepherd Penn Partners will work closely with the family and friends of each patient to determine suitable visiting hours. Parking Information
Convenient parking for the Good Shepherd Penn Partners’ long-term acute
care hospital (LTACH), the Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse, is available
in the parking garage located at 1700 South Street. Patients and visitors
of the LTACH receive discounted rates with validation.
Public Transportation Options
The Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse is accessible by several public
transportation routes:
- The SEPTA Broad Street Line (Orange) stops a few blocks from the LTACH at the Lombard and South Street Station. The station is located at 500 South Broad Street 4 blocks from the LTACH. From the station, walk south on Broad to Lombard Street and make a left. The Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse is about 4 blocks west at 1800 Lombard Street.
- SEPTA bus route 40 stops at Broad and South Streets. From the stop, walk south on Broad to Lombard Street and make a left. The Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse is about four blocks west at 1800 Lombard Street.
- All SEPTA Regional Rail Lines stop at Suburban Station. From the station, take the Broad Street Line (Orange) subway three stops in the direction of Pattison Avenue to the Lombard-South stop. Follow directions from the station above.
Airport Express Train
The SEPTA R1 Airport train leaves Philadelphia International Airport
every 30 minutes. Take the R1 train to Suburban Station. From there
take the Broad Street Line (Orange) subway three stops in the direction
of Pattison Avenue to the Lombard-South stop.
