Penn E-lert eICU
At Good Shepherd Penn Partners Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse, we recognize that early detection and intervention are crucial in the care of our patients. That’s why the Specialty Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art tele-intensivist monitoring.
Through the Penn E-lert eICU Program, patients are connected throughout the night to Penn faculty physicians from the Departments of Anesthesiology and Critical Care, Internal Medicine and Surgery, as well as experienced critical care nurses. The program allows staff to continuously evaluate critically ill patients so impending problems can be proactively identified and managed. By using trended data and intelligent software, we can identify early, subtle changes in a patient’s condition.
Currently, six beds in the Specialty Hospital are equipped with E-lert eICU technology. A mobile device can also be used for consults throughout the facility.
The Penn E-lert eICU Program uses VISICU technology.
