Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Program
The Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Program at the Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine provides comprehensive services for individuals who have had bi-lateral hip or knee replacements or other trauma. A team of specialists, including physical therapists and rehabilitation nurses, are directed and monitored by a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation (physiatrist).
The beds at the Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine are licensed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The rehabilitation program and services bring together the best of Good Shepherd and The University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS).
