Brain Injury Rehabilitation

Each year, more than 1.5 million Americans suffer a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Of those individuals, approximately 70,000 to 90,000 experience significant physical, intellectual, emotional, behavioral, social and vocational impairments.

Good Shepherd Penn Partners (GSPP) offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care to survivors of traumatic brain injury. GSPP is dedicated to restoring you to your highest possible level of cognitive and physical function following a brain injury.

Good Shepherd Penn Partners offers three levels of care tailored to your individual needs through every step of your rehabilitation.

After leaving the hospital, a survivor of traumatic brain injury may be too fragile to go home or to a rehabilitation facility. Good Shepherd Penn Partners Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse may be the right solution.

Once you are medically stable, intensive inpatient traumatic brain injury rehabilitation is provided at the Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine. Here, TBI survivors receive three hours of physical, speech or occupational therapy each day.

Following your inpatient rehabilitation, you may benefit from further outpatient care at GSPP Penn Therapy & Fitness. Eight convenient locations are found throughout the Philadelphia region.
